Trends

Overview

The Trends tab focuses on how your content’s performance changes over time. It’s ideal for spotting patterns in consumption, highlighting your top DSPs, or tracking how new releases affect your overall metrics. You can zoom in on daily or weekly shifts and compare multiple tracks or artists side by side. By monitoring daily trends, you gain insights into how each of your assets (labels, artists, releases, and tracks) performs across various services and regions.

Feature Breakdown:

  • Total Streams: An aggregate number for the selected period.

  • Top DSPs: Which platforms are driving the most streams or revenue.

  • Top Countries: Geographical breakdown to see where you’re trending.

  • Top Channels / Formats: Identify the type of streaming or download format.

Who Is It For?

  • Labels & Distributors: Track how your catalog performs across streaming platforms, downloads, and physical sales (when available).

  • Artists & Managers: Gain immediate insights into how new releases or promotions are impacting daily streams, downloads, and overall audience engagement.

  • Artist Management & Labels needing to spot short-term spikes or dips to fine-tune promotional campaigns.

  • Marketing Teams looking for time-based patterns to align with social media and ad strategies.

Real-World Scenario #1 A manager compares daily streams over the last month to measure the impact of a social media influencer campaign that ran two weeks ago.

Real-World Scenario #2: A label owner wants to see if a new single is trending upward or downward. They check Daily Trends for the last 14 days to confirm continuous growth in streams.

Real-World Scenario #3 An indie artist releases a single and sees a sharp spike in streams for a few days, then a gradual decline. They use Trends data to plan a follow-up campaign just before the streams flatten out.

Real-World Scenario #4: An artist manager compares performance across DSPs for multiple artists over the last 30 days. They notice a spike in a particular country and decide to boost local marketing.

Key Benefits

  • Quickly gauge whether your marketing or promotional efforts have a measurable effect.

  • See how different DSPs or regions respond to your music over distinct time frames.

  • Align future release strategies with observed consumption patterns.

  • Switch between line, stacked area, or bar graph for quick comparisons.
