Migrating your catalog to Revelator is a structured process designed to ensure a seamless transition and accurate metadata alignment across all digital service providers (DSPs). This involves coordination during onboarding and specific deliverables should you need to manage the process post-onboarding.
Note: The catalog migration process is included in the onboarding fee. For any additional services or imports beyond the onboarding phase, please refer to the pricing table provided at the end of this document.
Workflow
Files exchange method is defined/agreed with customer in either of two possible ways:
Customer’s previous provider shares a cloud resource to upload DDEX compliant packages from.
Customer’s previous provider is able to sent DDEX compliant packages to Revelator’s FTP server.
Assuming a Test made to ensure package sent (either using a or b) is structured as expected, the provider can move on with full deliveries.
The customer is expected to define the accounts to which the assets must be transferred before moving on with processing the files.
Distro team makes sure the packages received are transferred to the accounts mapped and communicates to the customer on the packages that were successfully ingested vs the ones that were not processed ok with all the necessary feedback for future reference.’
1. Catalog Import
See our and reach out to your Migration Manager for inquiries on the process. For any imports beyond onboarding, contact Revelator Support to receive updated guidance and tools (fees may apply).
2. Preparing for Redelivery
To redeliver your catalog to DSPs through Revelator, you'll need to prepare a detailed spreadsheet organized by UPC or Revelator Release ID. Each entry should include:
Territorial restrictions, if applicable
Non-default pricing information
DSPs to exclude from redelivery (or confirm if all enabled DSPs should receive the content)
Spotify Metadata: Artist URIs for primary, featured, or remixing artists, if you are on Revelator's Spotify deal or a Spotify Preferred Provider
Apple Metadata: Apple Artist IDs for primary, featured, remixing artists, and composers (for Classical releases)
