Video Management

Summary

The Video Management module in the Revelator platform allows users to manage video assets and their associated metadata. This module is designed to handle metadata-only videos and is not intended for video file distribution. It provides comprehensive tools for organizing, filtering, and viewing video data. Additionally, it offers detailed insights into the metadata, rights management, and analytics of each video asset.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Revelator platform with appropriate permissions.

  • Video assets uploaded to the platform.

  • Metadata correctly associated with each video file.

  1. Access the Videos section from the Catalog menu on the left-hand panel.

  2. The main dashboard displays a list of videos with the following information:

    • Title: Name of the video.

    • Release ID: Unique identifier for the video release.

    • Artist Name: Name of the associated artist.

    • Label Name: Name of the associated label.

    • UPC: Universal Product Code if available.

    • Video ISRC: International Standard Recording Code.

    • Creation Date: Date the video was created or added to the catalog.

Filtering Videos

  1. Click on the filter icon in the top right corner of the Videos dashboard.

  2. Choose from the following filter options:

    • Release Date: Filter videos by selecting a start and end date or using quick selections like 'Last 7 days', 'Last 30 days', or 'Custom Range'.

    • Creation Date: Filter videos based on their creation date.

    • Genres: Search and select from available genres.

    • Payees: Search and select the payees associated with the videos.

  3. Apply the filters to update the video list accordingly.

Sorting Videos

  1. Click on the column headers (e.g., Title, Release ID, Artist Name) to sort the videos alphabetically or numerically.

  2. The sorting icon indicates the current sorting order (ascending or descending).

Viewing Video Details

  1. Click on a video title to open its detailed page.

  2. The detail page is divided into sections:

    • Metadata: Shows information like the metadata language, primary and secondary genres, label, copyright, and catalog ID.

    • Distribution: Details on distribution channels and availability.

    • Tracks: Associated tracks with details like track ID, artist name, ISRC, and missing audio status.

    • Rights: Master rights information with payees listed.

    • Analytics: Insights into trends, revenue, and geographical data.

Verifying Metadata and Rights

  1. Open a video from the list to access its metadata and rights overview.

  2. Verify that all metadata fields are correctly filled out and accurate.

  3. Check rights allocation and associated payees to ensure compliance with licensing agreements.

Analyzing Video Performance

  1. Access the Analytics section of a video detail page.

  2. Explore the following insights:

    • Trends: View streaming and performance trends over the last 7 days.

    • Revenue: Analyze revenue trends over the past 6 months.

    • Geo Data: Geographic distribution of streams and revenue.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

  • Why are my video analytics not showing data?

    • Check if the video was recently added. Analytics might not be available immediately.

    • Verify that the video has been properly linked to distribution channels.

  • Can I upload video files through this module?

    • No, the Video Management module is metadata-only and does not support file uploads.
