How It Works

Connecting Your YouTube MCN or Channels

1. Authenticate via Google OAuth:

   • Navigate to Settings → Integrations in your Revelator dashboard.

   • Select YouTube and click Connect.

   • Sign in with your YouTube/Google credentials to grant Revelator access.

   • Upon successful authentication, you’ll see a confirmation message.

2. Configure Channel Settings:

   • If you’re using Revelator’s MCN, Revelator will automatically import your channels.

   • If you have your own MCN, ensure you have CMS access to import and manage multiple channels.

3. Assign Channels to Users (Optional):

   • Within Revelator, go to Catalog → Channels.

   • Select a channel and assign it to the corresponding user or client for tracking and reporting visibility.

Importing & Syncing Data

1. Daily Sync:

   • Revelator automatically fetches your YouTube revenue and performance data once daily.

   • You can see the last sync date under Channels → Sync Status.

2. Manual Imports (For Own MCN Users):

   • If automated sync isn’t enabled or if you need to import historical data, use the Upload Reports feature in Royalty Reports.

   • Follow the prompts to upload your CSV or XLSX reports.

Assigning Revenue & Processing Royalties

1. Match YouTube Revenue:

   • Go to Royalties → Digital Income and ensure the YouTube income line items are correctly assigned to the relevant contracts.

   • Use auto-matching or manually match if needed.

2. Define Splits:

   • In each Contract, specify payee splits (e.g., artist, label, distributor percentages).

   • Optionally set up advanced rules by territory or rights type.

3. Run Royalty Payout:

   • Once revenue data is matched and contracts are set, navigate to Royalties → Payouts.

   • Generate statements and approve final payouts.

   • Revelator automatically calculates each payee’s share and marks them for distribution.

• You should see Connected status for your YouTube channels in the Integrations page.

• Daily Sync completes without errors, and your channel data (views, revenue, etc.) appears in Revelator’s dashboard.
