The checkout experience for buyers using a credit/debit card will be similar to any existing e-commerce site. When paying with their card, the buyer will first need to sign up (or sign in) for an account using their email and password.

1

Sign Up or Sign In

During sign-up, the user must enter a valid email and set up a password to secure their account. Existing users simply re-use these details to sign back in.

On signing up, they will also be asked to verify their email before they can proceed, and must agree to the Revelator NFT terms of service and privacy policy.

2

Input Credit Card details

The buyer will input their credit card details, and using a secure checkout powered by Stripe will be able to proceed with their purchase. The buyer's credit/debit card will be stored securely via Stripe for re-use on any subsequent purchases.

3

Confirming Checkout

When a buyer proceeds with the payment, they will see a window notifying them that the purchase is complete (but still processing). It may take a few moments for the transaction to complete, but once confirmed, the following will happen:

  1. The sale price amount (less our service fee) will be sent to your account in Revelator Pro

  2. The NFT item will then be sent to the buyer's nft showcase on nft.revelator.com, where the buyer can access their collectible.

4

Once Purchase Is Completed

When the purchase is completed, the buyer will see the collectible held in their wallet and also on their own Revelator NFT buyer showcase page. They will also appear in the Collectors list on the public link for the collectible, and on it's details within Revelator Pro.

Later on, they can choose to hold the collectible in their wallet, move it to another wallet or re-sell it on 3rd-party marketplaces.

5

Purchase failed

The purchase of a collectible can on occasion fail when the buyer tries to use a credit/debit card in a region that is not supported by Stripe. At this point, we do not have an alternative option for unsupported regions. Buyers will have to checkout using crypto instead.

Once our payments provider confirms the transaction, the transaction to the blockchain starts.
After the credit card transaction is confirmed the transaction is transmitted to the blockchain to transfer the NFT.
