Listing Collectibles for Sale
It's time to sell.
There are two ways Revelator NFT collectibles can be listed for sale. These are:
Listing for sale on your own storefront, or
Listing for sale on third-party marketplaces (e.g. Opensea)
List On Your Storefront
When you wish to list a collectible to your storefront you can either do it at the time of minting or at any time afterwards.
How to mint & list your NFT at the same time
In our complete guide to creating your first NFT collectible, we went through how to list your collectible for sale at the same time as minting. When enabled your collectible is first minted and then subsequently listed for sale on your storefront.
If you choose to proceed, you must configure the following sale information:
Sale Price: set the price you wish to list your collectible for.
This price is set in either ETH (on Base) or POL (on Polygon)
Quantity for Sale: If your collectible is a limited edition, you may set the amount of editions you are listing for sale out of the total available.
How to list your collectible after minting
To list a collectible for sale:
Navigate to your Collectibles, and open any item that is not currently for sale.
From the item details click List For Sale.
You will be presented with a modal window where you may configure the following options:
Sale Price: set the price you wish to list your collectible for.
This price is set in either ETH (on Base) or POL (on Polygon)
Quantity for Sale: If your collectible is a limited edition, you may set the amount of editions you are listing for sale out of the total available.
Click Confirm Listing when ready to list.
Once your listing is live, you will have the option to either unlist or update your listing.
Once your collectible is listed for sale
When you list a collectible to your storefront, it immediately becomes available for purchase on your public storefront URL.
How to view an active listing
Navigate to your Collectibles, and open the For Sale tab
Open an item that is currently "For Sale"
From the item details click View Listing
On doing so, the listing page will be opened in a new tab.
This URL is public and can be shared directly with fans. This page is also accessible through your public storefront page too.
Keep in mind that once you mint a music or video collectible and share its URL or id, the media will be available for streaming via that URL
Listing On 3rd-Party NFT Marketplaces
We do not yet offer direct support for listing a collectible minted on Revelator Pro to third-party marketplaces (such as OpenSea etc). However it is still possible by transferring your item from Revelator Pro to a 3rd-party non-custodial wallet you control.
Once you hold the collectible in your non-custodial wallet, you can connect it to any 3rd-party marketplace that supports listing NFTs for sale on the blockchain the collectible is minted on (Base or Polygon)
Below we'll go through transferring a collectible to another wallet and how to list it for sale on OpenSea.
How to transfer your collectible to another wallet
Navigate to your Collectibles page, and open any collectible that is currently "Not For Sale"
From the item details click Transfer (found in the 3-dot contextual menu)
You will be presented with a modal window where you may configure the following options:
Recipient: Paste the 0x wallet address where you would like to send the item. Please ensure the address is correct before proceeding.
Quantity to transfer: If your collectible is a limited edition, you may set the amount of editions you are transferring.
Click Transfer when ready to proceed, and your item will be transferred.
Transferring an item is a blockchain transaction, so it may take a few moments to complete and then for our backend to update in order to reflect the current status of ownership.
Only items that are not listed on your storefront can be transferred. If you'd like to transfer an item that is currently listed for sale, you will first need to unlist it.
Example: Listing a collectible on OpenSea
You'll first need to have the collectible you wish to list in your non-custodial wallet. See above for instructions on transferring to another wallet. Once ready, click Login from the OpenSea home page and it will walk you through connecting your wallet.
Once your wallet is connected, any time you attempt an action on OpenSea that requires a blockchain transaction, you will be asked via your wallet to confirm it.
In OpenSea, go to your profile.
Select the item from your wallet that you would like to sell.
On the top right of the item page, click Sell
You will be presented with a window where you may configure the following options:
Type: choose what type of sale you are listing.
Price: set the price you wish to list your item for.
Duration: set how long your sale is active.
Click Complete Listing when ready to list. For more information about listing NFTs on OpenSea, take a look here.
