Importing Your Catalog
Whether you are using Revelator for distribution or not, your catalog must exist inside of our system in order to be able to use our Reporting and Royalties workflows. Revelator has integrations with some of the industry’s largest aggregators including CI, FUGA and AudioSalad so you can easily deliver your data and keep your catalog in sync. If you don't use CI or FUGA as a supply chain partner, you may be able to import your metadata and assets (audio & cover art) directly into our platform by using our Catalog Ingestion Worksheet.
Whether or not you use Revelator for distribution, your catalog must first be imported into our system to use our Reporting and Royalties workflows.
1.1 Ingesting via Aggregators (CI, FUGA, AudioSalad)
Revelator integrates with major industry aggregators (CI, FUGA, AudioSalad), so you can easily deliver your data and keep your catalog in sync.
1.1.1 CI
Request your CI representative to set up a feed to REE (Revelator).
CI will coordinate with Revelator and notify you when you can start deliveries.
1.1.2 FUGA
Contact your FUGA Account Manager to open a feed to Revelator.
FUGA will coordinate with Revelator and notify you when you can begin deliveries.
1.1.3 AudioSalad
Contact your AudioSalad Account Manager to open a feed to Revelator.
AudioSalad will coordinate with Revelator and notify you when you can begin deliveries.
1.2 Ingesting via Catalog Ingestion Worksheet
If you cannot deliver your catalog via DDEX or do not work with our integrated supply chain partners (AudioSalad, CI, FUGA, DashGo, Ingrooves, etc.), you can use our Catalog Ingestion Worksheet. Be sure to:
Make a copy of the worksheet before editing.
Carefully follow the instructions in each of the 8 catalog tabs.
Read the notes marked throughout the sheet.
If cover images and audio files need to be batch imported, confirm whether you can provide direct download links (e.g., from Dropbox, AWS).
If direct links are not possible, coordinate with us for alternative import options.
Refer to the Sample Data tab for examples.
1.2.1 Recommended Cloud Storage for Assets
Dropbox and AWS are best for seamless import.
Any service that supports direct download links (automatic download in a browser) is acceptable.
Google Drive is not supported (links require a confirmation, so they are not truly direct).
