Revenue Analytics

Overview

Revenue Analytics provides a comprehensive view of your earnings across all connected platforms and services. From daily or monthly revenue breakdowns to more granular insights like region or channel performance, Revenue Analytics helps you understand where your earnings are coming from and how they evolve over time. This module focuses on the steps and best practices for analyzing monthly revenue data.

By leveraging Revenue Analytics, you can quickly spot trends, compare performance across different time periods, and make data-driven decisions to optimize your revenue streams.

Who Is It For?

  • Record Labels looking to analyze overall performance across multiple artists, tracks, or regions.

  • Distributors and Service Providers needing an aggregated view of monthly sales data to gauge the effectiveness of marketing campaigns or release schedules.

  • Independent Artists who want to track monthly earnings and see how releases perform across platforms.

Real-World Scenario #1

An independent artist reviews monthly revenue to see which platforms or regions generate the most income. They use the Export feature to share the data with their manager and plan future promotional activities.

Real-World Scenario #2

A record label compares monthly revenue figures for multiple artists, filtering by label and region. They notice a spike in streaming numbers in a particular country, which prompts them to allocate additional marketing resources there.

Key Benefits

  • Comprehensive Insights: Access detailed monthly revenue information, including downloads, streams, and sales sources.

  • Comparative Analysis: Filter, sort, and compare revenue metrics across time periods, services, countries, or even specific cities.

  • Export Functionality: Easily share your monthly revenue data in Excel format with team members or stakeholders.

  • Flexible Filtering: Fine-tune your reports by date range or criteria, ensuring you focus on the most relevant data.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I compare revenue data across multiple months at once? Yes. Use the date picker to select a range that spans multiple months. The graph and revenue data will adjust to display combined or comparative metrics.

  • How do I see more specific information, such as city-level earnings? In the filters, choose the region or city-level breakdown. The charts and data tables will then display location-specific revenue.

  • Is there a limit to how many months I can include in my export? Generally, no. You can select any date range for exporting; however, very large exports may take longer to generate.

  • What format is the exported file? The exported file is in Excel (.xlsx) format so it can be opened in common spreadsheet applications.
