Payments
Overview
The Payments section in the Revelator platform allows users to manage and process royalty payments to payees. This includes reviewing pending amounts, filtering payees based on account status or balance, selecting payment providers, exporting balances, importing or exporting previous transactions as CSV, and executing payouts via PayPal, Tipalti, or Original Works. How It Works: Step by Step Guides
How to Filter and Review Payments
Access the Payments tab under Royalties. Here, you will see a list of all payees, along with their current balance and any pertinent status flags.
Use the search bar to locate specific payees by name or email.
Apply filters to narrow the list by payment method (PayPal, Tipalti, Original Works), account status (blocked, locked, active), or payment status (pending, paid, failed). These filters help you target payees who meet specific criteria, such as minimum threshold amounts.
Once filtered, review each payee’s balance, status, and payment method to ensure accuracy before proceeding.
How to Execute a Single or Bulk Payment
Within the Payments list, select the checkbox next to a payee's name to process an individual payment, or select multiple checkboxes to process bulk payments.
Click the Pay button. In the pop-up, review the payment date and (optionally) add a note that will be included with the PayPal payment.
Confirm amounts if they need adjusting. For example, you might choose to partially pay a payee rather than their full balance.
Press PAY to finalize the transfer. A confirmation message indicates payment requests are being processed by the chosen provider.
How to Export Filtered Balances
After you’ve applied filters (e.g., payees with balances above a certain threshold), click the Export button.
Select the desired file format (typically CSV) to download.
The exported file will contain only the payees who matched your filters, including relevant details (e.g., payee name, email, balance, and provider).
Use this export for financial records, reporting, or auditing purposes. You can also import previously exported data back into the system, if supported.
Key Sub-Sections:
Ready to Pay: Review all pending payments, including total unpaid amounts and payment counts.
Review & Pay: Finalize individual or bulk payments.
Filters & Export: Narrow results by provider, account status, and export filtered data.
