Viewing a Statement allows users to delve into the detailed financial breakdown of individual payees or royalty tokens. It provides a clear overview of revenue sources, units generated, and total income while also allowing for quick actions like downloading or emailing the statement. This ensures that financial data is transparent, traceable, and easily shareable.

To view a statement, ensure the following prerequisites are met:

  • You have the necessary user permissions to access royalty statements within the platform.

  • The statement you wish to view has already been generated and approved or is pending approval.

  • Your device has internet connectivity and the necessary credentials to access the platform.

How to Access a Statement

  1. Navigate to the Statements section from the Royalties module on the left-hand sidebar.

  2. Use the Search Bar at the top to find a specific payee or statement by typing keywords or payee names.

  3. Utilize the Filter Panel to narrow down results based on criteria such as statement type, date range, royalty run, and more.

  4. Click on the desired payee name or royalty token in the Statement Table to open the detailed view.

  5. The statement detail page will load, displaying revenue breakdowns and actionable items.

How to Download Statement Details

  1. Once in the statement detail view, locate the Action Menu at the top right of the screen (three-dot icon).

  2. Click the Download icon to open download options.

  3. Choose one of the following options:

    • Download Summary: Generates a concise overview of revenue categories and totals.

    • Download Details: Exports a full, itemized breakdown of all revenue sources and amounts.

  4. The file will be saved to your device in the specified format (usually CSV or PDF).

  5. Check your device’s download folder to ensure the file is saved.

How to Send Statements via Email

  1. Open the statement detail view by clicking on the payee name from the main list.

  2. Click on the Action Menu (three-dot icon) in the top right corner.

  3. Select Email from the dropdown options.

  4. A pop-up window will appear where you can:

    • Confirm the recipient’s email address.

    • Add any relevant message or notes if required.

  5. Click Send to dispatch the statement to the specified recipient.

Statement Detail View

When you click on a payee name from the main statements list, you are directed to the detailed statement view. The interface consists of the following components:

Header Information

The header of each statement provides critical information and quick access to essential functions. This section is designed to give users a clear overview of the statement at a glance while also offering convenient actions and metadata access.

  • Payee Name: Displayed prominently at the top.

  • Month and Status: A date badge (e.g., Dec 2023) and a green checkmark for approved statements.

  • See Info Button: Provides additional metadata, including Payee ID, Statement Month, Payor, Created On, and Created By.

Page Layout and Components

  1. Payee Name:

    • Displayed prominently at the very top of the statement view, making it easy to identify the statement’s owner.

    • The payee name is presented in bold and large font for quick reference.

  2. Month and Status:

    • Right next to the payee name, you will find a Date Badge that displays the statement month (e.g., Dec 2023).

    • Approved statements are marked with a Green Checkmark, clearly indicating their finalized status.

    • Unapproved or draft statements may be marked with a Gray Icon or a Pending Indicator.

  3. See Info Button:

    • Located prominently next to the header information, this button provides additional metadata when clicked.

    • Metadata Information Includes:

      • Payee ID: Unique identifier for the payee.

      • Statement Month: The reporting period covered by the statement.

      • Payor: The entity responsible for making the payment.

      • Created On: Date and time when the statement was generated.

      • Created By: User or system that generated the statement.

    • This feature helps users quickly verify essential data without leaving the statement view.


Action Menu (Top-Right)

The Action Menu, positioned at the top-right corner, provides easy access to essential functions. Users can perform the following actions:

  1. Download Summary:

    • Exports a concise financial breakdown in PDF or spreadsheet format.

    • Ideal for quick reports or high-level overviews.

  2. Download Details:

    • Exports a comprehensive, itemized financial report.

    • Includes every revenue line, play count, and payment calculation.

    • Suitable for thorough audits and detailed analysis.

  3. Email:

    • Directly send the statement to a designated recipient via email.

    • Configure the recipient address and attach the statement file.

  4. Copy Statement Link:

    • Generates a shareable link that can be easily copied and sent.

    • Useful for collaborating with team members or external stakeholders.

  5. Unapprove:

    • Reverts the statement from Approved to Draft status, allowing for modifications.

    • Useful when errors or omissions are detected after approval.


Revenue Breakdown

The Revenue Breakdown section displays detailed information about each revenue category, providing users with a clear understanding of income streams. The revenue categories may include:

  • Ad-Supported Radio: Revenue generated from advertisements played during radio broadcasts.

  • Ad-Supported Streaming: Income from advertisements during streaming services.

  • Digital Licensing: Fees collected from licensing digital content.

  • Download: Revenue from digital downloads of music tracks or albums.

  • Subscription Streaming: Income from subscription-based streaming services.

  • Non-Interactive Radio: Royalties from services like Pandora or other non-interactive platforms.

  • Other Revenue Sources: Any additional revenue streams not covered by the primary categories.

For each revenue category, the following details are displayed:

  • Units: The number of plays, downloads, or interactions recorded.

  • Total: The total revenue generated from that specific source.


Subtotal and Total Revenue

  • At the bottom of the Revenue Breakdown, the system displays a Subtotal for each revenue category.

  • The Total Revenue is shown at the very end, summarizing all earnings for the period.


Expenses Breakdown

This section provides a detailed view of expenses incurred, which may include:

  • Taxes: Any withholding or remittance fees applied.

  • Adjustments: Modifications to revenue, such as corrections or retroactive changes.

  • Other Deductions: Miscellaneous expenses not covered in the primary categories.

The Total Expenses are calculated and clearly displayed at the bottom of the breakdown.
